Mission: impossible?! Checo unter Druck!

Die Vertragsverlängerung von Sergio Perez bei Red Bull nach einem wenig überzeugenden Monaco-GP kam bereits für viele überraschend. Vor rund drei Wochen fragten wir uns in Episode 96 schon, warum der neue Vertrag wohl zustande kam. Rein sportlich konnte man es zu dem Zeitpunkt schon schwer begründen. Und die Leistungen von Checo sind seitdem nicht besser geworden. Statt als Wingman für Max Verstappen Podiumsplätze einzuheimsen und anderen Fahrern Punkte zu stehlen, dümpelt Perez im hinteren Mittelfeld rum, baut Unfälle und wird in Scharmützel reingezogen. Die Materialschäden sind enorm, die Konstrukeurs-WM in ernsthafter Gefahr – so kann es eigentlich nicht weitergehen.

In dieser Episode werfen wir einen knackigen Blick auf einige Zahlen und Statistiken und diskutieren die Gerüchte, die besagen, dass Perez bereits in der Sommerpause womöglich ersetzt werden könnte.
