Als Andreas Seidl seinen Dienst als CEO von Sauber angetreten hatte, schien der Weg vorgezeichnet und gerade: er sollte das Team auf den Audi-Einstieg vorbereiten und stabile Strukturen schaffen, damit sich die Marke mit den vier Ringen direkt ab 2026 als respektabler Konkurrent im Feld etablieren kann.

Dass es aktuell so gar nicht danach aussieht, weil man als Kick Sauber als einzige Mannschaft ohne Punkte auf dem letzten Platz in der Konstrukteurswertung rangiert, sorgt für ordentlich Druck auf dem Kessel. Projektleiter Oliver Hoffmann macht Dampf und will schnelle Ergebnisse, um intern seine Kompetenz zu untermauern. Andreas Seidl reagiert genervt und hat seinerseits glaubwürdige Argumente dafür, dass die Situation momentan ist, wie sie ist.
