Dass Alex Albon sich relativ früh in dieser verrückten silly season zu Williams bekannt hat, war bereits eine kleine Überraschung. Dass nun Carlos Sainz sein Teamkollege wird und dieser seinerseits fest überzeugt vom Plan des Teamchefs überzeugt scheint, ist eine kleine Sensation.

Aber offenbar ist James Vowles ein sehr überzeugender Charakter. Unter seiner Führung haben sich in den vergangenen 1,5 Jahren bereits 250 neue Mitarbeiter für Williams entschieden. Auch die Finanzierung scheint stabil. Mit einer rundum erneuerten Infrastruktur soll es es nun also wieder deutlich nach vorne gehen. Aber wie weit? Und wann? Wir sprechen drüber und geben euch eine subjektive Einschätzung der Situation rund um das einst so erfolgreiche Traditionsteam aus Grove. Und dann ist ja auch noch Adrian Newey auf dem Markt…
