Mick raus, Doohan rein!

Eine Überraschung war die Bestätigung von Jack Doohan für das zweite Alpine-Cockpit nicht. Der Junior aus dem eigenen Nachwuchsprogramm galt bereits lange als Favorit auf den zweiten Sitz neben Pierre Gasly. Wir analysieren was der sympathische Australier bisher im Rennsport erreicht hat und geben unsere Einschätzung ab, wie sinnvoll wir seine Verpflichtung finden.

Indirekt bedeutet diese Entscheidung aber auch, dass eine verheißungsvolle Option für Mick Schumacher wegfällt. Er fährt für Alpine in der WEC und macht dort einen hervorragenden Job. In der Formel 1 wird er für die Franzosen aber nun wohl nicht mehr antreten. Der letzte Funke Hoffnung auf einen Platz in der Formel-1-Startaufstellung für Mick Schumacher lautet nun wohl Sauber/Audi.
